张弥曼，女，1936年4月生，汉族，浙江嵊县人。1960年毕业于苏联莫斯科大学地质系。1982年获瑞典斯德哥尔摩大学博士学位。1960年至今在中国科学院古脊椎动物与古人类研究所工作。1991年当选为中国科学院地学部院士。现为中国科学院古脊椎动物与古人类研究所研究员，从2001年9月起被聘为北京大学地球与空间科学学院教授。 张弥曼主要从事比较形态学、古鱼类学、中－新生代地层、古地理学及生物进化论的研究。曾发表《渤海沿岸地区第三纪鱼化石》、《浙江中生代晚期鱼化石》、“The Braincase of Youngolepis, a Lower Devonian Crossopterygian from Yunnan, southwestern China”等著作及编撰“Early Vertebrates and Related Problems of Evolutionary Biology”, 《热河生物群》（中、英文）等书，以及： 1976 松辽盆地似狼鳍鱼属的发现及骨舌鱼目的起源 － 东北白垩纪鱼化石之一。古脊椎动物与古人类，14：146－153。 1977 我国东部中、新生代含油地层中的鱼化石及有关沉积环境。古脊椎动物与古人类，16：229－237。 1984 Structure and phylogenetic significance of Diabolichthys speratus gen.
